The Tuscan hills were soon replaced by mountains nestled on the edge of the Mediterranean Sea.
We passed the mountains where the Carrara marble is mined.
Where there is white on the mountain, is not snow, but where the marble has been mined.
Soon, the sea became visible. It was gorgeous, and easy to see why it is called the cote d'azur (the blue coast). We travelled along the coastline, on the edge of the mountains. The roads were good, but still twisty.
The road we are on, and where we are going.
There were 167 tunnels we travelled through from Italy to France. We travelled into Monte Carlo, Monaco. It is a country that is 2 km square kilometres and has it's own monarchy! There is a lot of money in Monaco.
Tim's Lamborghini!
Part of where the Monte Carlo is raced each year. The road gets re- surfaced annually.
