We were off to view the famous leaning tower of Pisa this morning. Apparently thousands of others were too! It is a very crowded, hectic place. The roving, aggressive street venders line up to meet you as you exit the bus.
The tower is beautiful. It is part of a baptisma and a church. The tower was started as a bell tower in 1174, but abandoned as it soon began to lean. It was completed in 1350.
